Oulton Full Circuit - 5th August - Anyone Going?
Discussion
As the title, anyone booked? About 15 places left I believe. We'll be there in the E36.

Yup, only the second time out for Project E36.
Head gasket and water pump sorted thanks. We seem to have a problem getting enough coolant in the system (which in part caused our overheating problems last time) but I understand that bleeding air from the E36 is quite tricky anyway. We've sussed out if we blow into the rad this forces the coolant round and we can get the correct amount in. Not very technical but it works
We also had a grinding noise coming from the right rear towards the end of the day at Oulton which we thought may be the diff or drive shafts. We now think it may have been the exhaust, which had come loose, rubbing on the RR tyre. Unfortunately we can't test this out until we get up to Oulton again (must get it MOT'd).
If you are popping up, you're more than welcome to grab a few passenger laps. PM me your mobile number first though so that I can give you a bell if we are having more mechanical disasters

Many thanks to Ben and Mike for the passenger laps, I'm very impressed with the car despite the little water temperature niggles (I put that bleed screw in the post for you this evening, hope it helps)
Was good to see Paul (Werewolf) again.
Cheers for you help yesterday Rich Was good to see Paul (Werewolf) again.
Thanks for the bleed screw too - going to have a serious look at the heating system now that everything "mechanical" seems to be OK. Small review of the day and a few pics here;

HEHE ye he did have a couple of offs, one at druids and one at lodge!
it was the guys first time, one in the car as he has just recently built it and one on track (never done a trackday before). to be honest i wouldn't like my first trackday in the soaking wet so i think he did rather well!! with 220Bhp and an LSD dosent make for straight lines hehe
i have some pics of the day! there off a digi camera so arn't that great but they will do but they wont be up till later!!
Paul, great to see you again mate and have fun at anglesey when you go!!

these are the pics i took, some are ok some are quite bad but with a digi camera and a second delay to take pics its quite hard to get them right!! (i need an SLR camera)
I think you pretty much photographed everyone that was there
Paul - we're confident it was that valve causing much of our bleeding problems so fingers crossed we'll be OK after a good flushing.
