Got to ride a bike back from Peckham. I don't know London, or any of the roads south of Stanstead. I realise I can't go via the Rotherhithe tunnel, but other bits I should be avoiding?

Unless you really want to ride back to Cam could you not just cycle to King's Cross and get the train back? Outside of rush hour it is no problem and have done it once or twice myself.

The "bike" is 2.5 metres long and 0.7 metres wide. I don't think it would fit by the toilet, let alone in the doorway.

We're just buying our second bakfiets.
