Can I switch off the Tom Tom overspeed chime?

I have recently bought a Tom Tom XL Europe. Does anyone know if it is possible to switch off the overspeed warning chime, and if so how? I can't find anything in the manual.

yes you can!

Go to:

change preferences / safety preferences / then uncheck the relevant box (warn when driving faster than allowed, or warn when driving faster than a set speed)
