Recirculating BOV system

Didn't think this was possible due to how it would affect ecu reading of airflow or something like that?
I thought that was what AdrianW had done. But no idea if that is right, or have a link to the thread.
Most will say turbos like BOVs. But the Noble is a little unusual - small turbos and relatively low boost limit makes the argument for them weaker than most installs.
I personally say fit one.

Some good debate on the subject......

Thanks for that. It'll make for some interesting reading while I'm recovering from a back problem and yes it is preventing me from enjoying driving the car
. A fact made all the worse as it's just been returned having just received some TLC.
All I end up doing is spending time thinking about tweaks to do to the car.

Mine is a recirculating dump valve.

Got it from here: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDeta... Plus it is adustable.

Thanks Mate, That's the photo I was looking for as well. Does the re-circulated air feedback to just one turbo input? It looks like it Tee's off just above the the fwd 3 cylinders. Did you do the install yourself? Was it set by trila & rerror or was there a more scientific method?
Thanks again. Much appreciated.

Graeme

Yes, it tee's off to both turbo intakes. The work was done by Proalloy http://www.proalloy.co.uk/cgi-bin/shopwise.pl?id=p... if you speak to Wayne and mention my name you should get a disscount. The dump valve is set just below maximum and i did this by good old trial & error! Thanks again. Much appreciated.

Cheers again Ross. Is it possible to describe the differrence that this mod has made? I'm not so much interested in improved performance but more in better driveability (not that there's much wrong with the throttle response as it is)and longer turbo lifespan.
Cheers,
Graeme
I'm not sure that the recirulation dump valve does much in terms of performance? All i know is that it is quieter and you can now hear the acuators on the turbos which is a great noise! The hard pipe upgrade from Pro Alloy has definatly made throttle responce better.Cheers,
Graeme

Hi Ross,Got it from here: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDeta... Plus it is adustable.

What was the extra cost over the normal kit for having pro-alloy make the pipes for the re-circulating dump valve? Im tempted to go for the similar set-up.
have any others done this?
What is the noise like? i don't want it to be too loud but im sure it would be nice to hear it working, however my filters are in the box at the rear so imagine it will be quieter.
cheers
Graham

The Noble does not have a Mass Air Flow meter so it doesn't matter which type is fitted
the recirculation type need to feed back into the air box - but the noble doesn't have an air box !
not sure i understand that, the recurculating ones are nuch quieter and are therefore far less annoying, the other benefit is they give may give the compresser wheels a kick which keeps them spinning, the recirculation type need to feed back into the air box - but the noble doesn't have an air box !
