Hi

Looking at getting a Dax Rush or similar over the coming weeks & have spotted a Rush fitted with a Blackbird engine that looks quite nice, but i'm not sure how it will perform in a Rush as it weighs a fair bit more than the Mks, westys etc, anyone got any experience with Rush powered by a bike lump?

Most of them seem to have the Cosy lump in but i would prefer a bike engined variant for the noise & weight saving, the cars a fair jaunt away so would like some info before going if poss.

Any other pointers on buying this type of car would be realy helpfull too, not bought anything like this before paperbag

The bike engined rush is a totally different chassis to the car engined ones, and weighs a lot less. So I don't think that it would be heavier than the equivilent westy, for example.

They can be buggeringly fast. smile A turbo hyabusa one lapped the top gear track in the same time as the koenigseggsegg thing, so probably as quick as you need.

Ask over on the Dax sporting club, someone there will know more details. http://forum.rushowners.co.uk/phpBB2/

Well, I'm about to start building a car engined Rush myself. Love the idea of the bike ones for track use, but I want something a bit more usable in the real world, something I can maybe spend a few days touring in as well.
I can't pretend to be at all knowledgable about the pros and cons of the different brands, not actually having one yet! Both the dax and westy are definately in the top echelon of seven replicas though, I doubt if there's a lot to choose between them when it comes down to it.
