hi everyone, a bit embarrassing this one. After buying the s in may and setting about making it road worthy i have had to undertake a multitude of tasks, new waterpump, clutch slave cylinder, brake servo and master cylinder, engine out for new sump.
The problem is that i have put it all back together making various things look better and replacing fasteners etc etc but i can't get the thing to run.
I have checked all the usual suspects but still no spark and no fuel.
I have connected everything back to where it was cleaning connections etc, the only wire i suspect is a back wire with a ring terminal on it coming out of the loom on the left hand side of the bulkhead, thinking black is earth that is where it has gone.
There is voltage at the coil, new rotor arm, dizzy, leads which all seem ok, 13 volt out of the coil ht lead but no apparent discharge, the coil was fine when i started, it would seem that the ign unit or ecu is not commanding voltage switch at the coil.
As for the fuel do you need to prime the system, bear in mind this is the first injection system i have touched (good old fashioned carbs all the way for me).
any ideas.

hi everybody, having just read a previous topic i am pretty sure it is the immobiliser stopping the coil switching, this also rings true with the fuel as i can't here the fuel pump, so its possible that my immobiliser terminates both circuits.
Must be down to being disconnected from the battery for a while, i will try bridging the coil circuit and checking spark, if this works i will have to figure out the pump wiring and either reboot the immobiliser or remove it.
will keep you posted.

well the good news is it passed first time, not bad for saying i bought less than two months ago and it had been off the road for two years.
now i know it will need running a biit to free things up and to settle it down, but what a piece of s*** to drive, are they all like this? if there are i can't see it lasting long.

er yes but give it a couple of months and you will see the pluses... try following a normal car at approx 30 mph drop to second floor it and overtake it leave it five seconds look in the mirror see how far behind it is and look at the grin on your face if no grin you have the wrong car
Simon, simon, please go away and wash your mouth out....non of that s.... talk here! Mine isn't my fastest car, or my best on bumpy roads but its fun value is enormous and it always brings a grin, usually a very big one! Get it running properly, and properly sorted, then come back and report again!

It is a sports car from 20 years ago. Stiff suspension, no nampy pampy creature comforts and lots of feedback - a cracking drive
. A real car and a real boy's toy. It's a Yorkie, "not for girls" (Sorry Coolcatmaz
