Ok Sent my 40D tuesday via UPS
Canon RCC recieved it yesterday
reparied and sent out today!

That is extraordinary!

Although It shouldn't have happened in the first place that is still impressive. My Cover letter must have worked! Phew!

Interesting thought, i do hope thats the case! had a bit of sensor dust on the last one

No, nothing yet, may have a letter inside the packaging.

CE goods break, no way you can have 100% reliability even with top QC. I've a mate who had his D3 die on him and nikon were a total ASS. How the company handles the issue is the key thing.

Sorry for not replying, my PC has completely buggered, trogans everywhere. I have had to use someone elses PC to get back to you! Extremely frustrating but hey-ho.

40D back yesterday afternoon, works perfectly, had a replaced shutter and a CCD & CMOS clean so thats cool!

Perfect timing for tommorow really, also received my lens hood today and the external hard-drive so everything is fine, i'll post my motor show pics as soon as my pc is back in business!
