HELP! E46 Wind Deflector fitting

Hi Chaps,

I'm picking up a wind deflector for my E46 cab on Saturday and have been told it doesnt have instructions. I would have thought its pretty intuitive, but the lady says she really doesnt know how to fit it.

Are the intuitive or is anyone able to provide me with an electronic copy of the fitting instructions?

Thanks for you help. I know it wouldnt be the end of the world if I couldnt fit it straight away, but it would be nice.

It can be confusing when you first get it, but as soon as you see how it clips in all makes sense. I think the instructions are in the handbook.

Basically:

1. Unpack from case and unfold the corners
2. Open roof (let the roof canvas come down, but leave the cover open)
3. Springy pins on each side of the deflector go in the holes above the speakers in the rear
4. The rubber feet drop into the recesses at the back (each side of the headrests)
5. Finish closing roof and pull up deflector.

The rubber feet should be locked in by the cover and the top half will hinge forward when in use.

Just make sure it's the right way up when you unfold it.

Also, if you are ever tempted to give a mate a lift, but can't be bothered to put the wind deflector away, they will fit underneath it but don't corner very hard or they'll hurt their neck. HTH

It sounds simple enough, just the lady I'm buying it had made it sound a little complicated!

Re the handbook, I dont recall seeing it but will take another look tonight.
