They were made in Lancashire, Lytham St Annes. The company was a body shop and have now since moved but still paint kit cars.

I believe a few years ago there was a falling out between the original manufacturer and a third party I think they were selling the project to and the molds and jigs were destroyed. At the time they were made they got rave reviews and a certian kit car mag writer had one for a while (now for sale in said mag).

I would imagine they go a bit with a Calibra turbo engine in the back. There was a feature on one a few months ago in Which Kit or whatever it's called nowadays.

There was a falling out between the two guys who bought the project. Shame.

Got one, though off the road at the moment...

Red Top Engine, goes like stink and is a far better car than I am a driver!

More room than you think, more height in the body than anything else that's the issue...

Would love one with the turbo Engine, though holding on to license could be tricky!!

Complete Kit Carwink Although it's a completely different magazine to Which Kit?

I was very tempted to buy a second-hand one a couple of years ago. I was reassured by Car Craft (now called Auto Mirage) that accident damage wouldn't be impossible to repair, but still opted to err on the side of caution. I was put off (unnecessarily according to some...) by the fact the body moulds no longer exist. I went as far as viewing one, but not as far as making an offer. I still regret missing out on that car, especially as I've driven one since (the one we featured last year) - I'll always look back on it as the one that got away. It was a metallic orange one from Suffolk if anyone happens to know its current whereabout; if ever it came back on the market, I'd be seriously tempted all over again!

It's not all bad news, though, as I decided to build the Riot instead.

You should have no problem with leg room at 6'5", the Cyclone has an adjustable pedal box with about 8" of travel, I'm 6ft and 19st and fit in ok, my mate also uses the car regularly and he's about 6'4". We had to replace the standard cobra seat with a Kirkey aluminium one but that was to gain a bit more elbow room which is a bit tight.
