Lucky ole you! Have fun mate, got that on my agenda for next year thumbup be sure to write a full report on your return.

I may go to the Sunday Service, depending on whether I can get a new radiator in time, and whether the rad fan is fooked or not.

well my week at spa has come to an end.
the engine has let go on the rolling road at emerald.
if you let off over 4k rpm you cover half a mile in blue smoke. so oil control rings we think.
oh well, curse of spa/k-series i guess.

The BBC have a report...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7538346.stm

Of course the middle-aged blonde female reporter mentioned that the bikes reach speeds "up to 160mph" in typical BBC style of reporting nonsensical details unrelated to the story.

I saw your car there. Bit thin on the ground though weren't they? I was disappointed so skee-daddled after wandering about for a bit with my lad. That lovely R8 did nothing to dissuade me from considering getting one...

I'd stick with the GT2 it looked awesome!

I will post some pics up tonight when I get a chance.

Was a little dissapointed with the turnout, I left just before 12 so don't know if it was any better in the afternoon!

I was thinking of popping back but I had stuff to do. Probably should have done that stuff in the am.

I think I like the looks of both, but the R8 is probably not brutal enough and is as sanitised as the 911 turbo or even more so. Just seen the prices though -- 15k more than a 996 GT2! I think I'm comfortable with my choice -- my GT2 and a free Peugeot 207 with enough left for a nice holiday, lol.
