It's pronounced kymeera I thought. Shouldnt be embarressed if you pronounce it wrong though... even TVR sales people pronounce it wrong.
The worst pronounciation i've heard is by "professional" car insurance telesales people. given that all the do is look at lists of cars, you'd think they'd know every car and model specification. well, they bloody well should do! ... "sorry, we don't appear to have VTR Primera on our list."
wits.
Oh and that french 24 hour race is held at "le mon" ok?

I've just renewed my kye-MEERa's insurance, and (I kid you not) got asked the following by some insurers:
"Is that a 2-door or 4-door?"
"How many seats?"
"Is that petrol or diesel?"

The numpties at the insurance co's just read it off a list. They really don't know any better. When I had a wedge 350SE (4.0L) I couldn't find any insurers to recognise it so had to insure it as a 400SE. Which was wrong.

I remember the old Performance Car mag article about the Chim and I distinctly recall them saying that 'Peter Wheeler pronounces it 'shim-air-a''......
The greek mythology thang is definitely 'kie-meer-a', probably, maybe
So what's going on then?? Either PC got given bogus info from Wheeler, or the name's got re-pronounced during production, like the Ford Ka....
And in looking for my Griff, the various dealers have a nice range of random versions as well.
