Kent BBQ (Sun 7 Sept)
Discussion
Big thank you to the North Kent / London doo-bury lot... NCS and Lady Topaz for inviting / putting up with a minor gatecrash effort from the Mid-Essex contingent!
Had a lovely "pootle" over to Kent... and even managed to catch a glipse of the scenery this time over - looked in my mirror at one point to see Seasider desperately trying to catch us up; flashing his lights all the way!
BBQ was good... although by 3pm I was STARVING! Weather held off which was lucky...! (you're a lucky man there Nick!).
Went for a bit of a convoy round some of the lanes (bloody horsebox).. and apologies to the driver in the Cerb behind me... hope you weren't too close behind when I had my sideways moment ..!
Oh... and the Dartford Tunnel is worht the money... isn't it Griffy?

Glad you had a good day, I think we were lucky with the weather, & hopefully the food was worth the wait.
I think we had 35 TVR's come & go during the afternoon , so not a bad turn out.
The drive afterwards was great fun, I think the horsebox was being driven by the bloody horse, but we got past him in the end.
Ended the day on a bit of a downer when my fan belt self destructed on the A20 at !!!mph. Ended up being carried home on the back of a recovery lorry...bummer!
Big thanks to Les & family for hanging on with Carrie & I for the recovery truck to arrive. I wouldnt mind but it was a fairly new belt fitted in November!
Despite that, had a great day & thanks to you all for coming, see you at Brighton Speed Trials on Saturday.
