Glentress is one of the Best 7 staines areas IMHO. You will not be disappointed. Haven't done kielder so can't comment on that one.
I had great fun a couple of years ago, scaring people on my MTB tandem through the spooky woods. There is no better fun than passing the kids on the DH that had taken the piss out of you on the climb for being on a Harold and Hilda bike.
Sadly the next day I came off my Solo (whyte 46) on the North Shore and ended up in A&E.

I wasn't disappointed - it was me doing the filming

You should give Dalby a go to. It's my local spot and there are some really nice natural and man-made routes to ride. More ups and downs than Keilder seems to have from your vid. There are literally hundreds of miles of singletrack around this area so it's definitely worth a weekends pedalling
