Sony Alpha A200
Discussion
I've had the A200 for a good few weeks now, and to be honest for the money it is an excellent camera. As already mentioned though if you are going to get serious about DSLR photography you might want to look at Nikon or Canon just because of the range of lenses that are available. That said Sony Alphas will use any Sony/Minolta mount lense of which there are quite a few available and it is always possible to get mount convertors so the Sony could use alternative lenses but I personally don't have any experience of using these.
I'm generally really happy with the way the camera has performed. I have the standard 35-70mm kit lense and also the 300mm lense for it and I've found that witha couple of days practice it's possible to take good sharp pictures in most situations. I've found the battery life to be pretty good and although the camera body at first might look a little 'lightweight' It's actually quite a robust piece of kit.
