L e Mans Classic - Mishaps.....
Discussion
This is not about gloating at all (whether in English or German), I took no pleasure whatsoever in seeing a TVR crashed on the Motorway, I just thought it was a bit tragic that it had only been on French soil for less than an hour when it happened - I just hope the occupants and any other people involved were OK.
As for the Cobra on Maison Blanche, the Guy was distraught, rightly so. Do you think I sat there smiling about it? Of course I didn't..!!!!
This thread was not intended to cause offence to anyone, News at Ten isn't accused of gloating when it reports on tradgedy now is it.
This was supposed to be a thread about Le Mans Classic cock ups, if the examples I used were inappropriate then I am sorry.

As the 'TVR driver who stuffed it into the barrier' I must be honest I am a little sad to see this thread when as Gaffer stated its been pretty well covered.
However, I completely understand there was no malice intended from the OP & was more intended as a 'human interest' thread.
I suppose reading this it does bring back some pretty horrific memories that I wasnt expecting to see when I came on here today, but in many ways its to be expected as everyone wants to know the finer details.
Im not going to go into those details on here at this time, but rest assured I did NOTHING that would have caused that accident, it was caused by external influences that were witnessed by an off duty French policeman who (with many others) came to our aid.
Its a lovely evening & we have our TVRCC meet tonight. Im going in my Audi because my lovely TVR is dead in a field in France....its not going to be an easy night
especially as Carrie is still pretty shaken up by the whole thing & her headwound is giving her hell in this heat!
'nuff said...all the best

I think there is enough documented information spread around the forums to supply the information you require.
The two that you have mentioned have affected the PH'ers concerned, and it's not very appropriate to resurrect the sort of memories that perhaps are still a little fresh in the minds of those affected.
Lets move on shall we.
