Where's the best curry in Bradford?

Off to see the new Batman film at the Imax in Bdford on tues and want to go for a curry first.

been to Mumtaz, nice but no beer allowed Also been to Akbars, not bad at all.

But does anyone have a top tip for the definitive "best curry in Bradford?"

I usually go to the Karachi. It's probably not the "best" but it is very original. It has recently upgraded from the formica school tables and school chairs but the food is very good in an authentic indian sort of way rather than a UK balti sort of way. Don't try to impress ladies by taking them there.

Quick search on google etc says Prashad is supposed to be fairly decent too, vegetarian but I'm not fussed about that. Anyone been there?

Yes, I've been there a few times, I'm vegetarian - it's excellent, cafe style, but not licensed. It's all in my previous post, which I quote

Saffron, trust me! it's just up the leeds rd from Akbhars. Fairly cheap too.

Went to prashad. Pulled up outside bharat and my misses wouldn't even go in! It is a bit of a dump on the outside to be fair.

Had the best curry i.ve had in a long time at that place, well worth a trip.

Batman was good too, if a little long. Imax is impressive too but there's only about 10mins of footage that actually used the whole screen, i felt a bit cheated!

I'm pleased you enjoyed Prashad - I prefer it to Mumtaz. As for the Bharat - "Don't judge a book by its cover."
