Hi folks, I have a small rad leek, and I'm thinking of trying Rad Weld short term, while trying to find a reputable repairer given it is in a kit car. Any suggestion on a repairer in the Bucks area? (email me if not appropriate to feedback on forums) Dial-A-Rad seem to be able to do what I want, was wondering if anyone has had any experiance of them?

Must be Welsh being a leek 'nd all!wink
Easiest bet is to just go out and buy a new one from a local motor factors, many kit cars tend to use Polo rads of some sort. Do you know where your came from?

Starting at the front..

Are you sure you have a leak from the radiator? Can you see where the coolant has been leaking from?

If it is the radiator; then is it a hand made job from a specialist manufacturer of radiators, or is it from a production car?

If it is the latter, then it will probably cheaper to buy a new one, or find an exchange service.

If it's a specialist job - try somone like Loughborough Radiators. (There are others).

I think I deserved that one…I should eat before posting!

I’ve checked with the kit manufacture and it’s a hand built job, so can’t pop to the local dealer to get one. They have suggested Serck Marston.

The coolant is leaking from the top corner driver’s side, just underneath the header tank.

Thanks Paul for the suggestion, I'll look into them as well.

If it's an ally rad, just go and find your local exhaust type place and bung someone there £10 and it'll be done there and then!
