defender / mini trade in

hi,
currently got a 1987 defender 90 auto with galvanised new chassid and a mini cooper s (and an integrale). been trying to sell the mini for 2 months at about 8.5 - 9k, no takers so far. is it a good idea to move up / trade both in for a newer disco? must be auto, but i don't need 3 cars! by my reckoning i should have about 14k. what would that get me?
