Need to find a new game - suggestions for PS3
Discussion
I'm looking to trade in a few games and buy something new.
Historically I've always favoured racing games and already have GT5 prologue. Burnout never really did it for me, but intrigued by GRID, although the demo wasnt great..
However, what I'm really after is a FPS rather than another driving game. My dilemma is that I'm not a fan of online play and find some of the more recent FPS's over complicated. Is there anything along the lines of Golden-eye, Timesplitters and the original Medal of Honour games that you would suggest? I played the demo of MOH Airborne on the 360 and wasnt overwhelmed. Do I need to give it more time?
COD4 seems to get a lot of praise as does MGS4 - what are they like compared to the three games I mention above?
I enjoyed GTAIV, but dont intend to replay the missions, so thats getting traded - anything out there similar to the GTA concept that is recommended?
Suggestions greatly received.
Thank

COD4 - job done. Nothing else comes close on the PS3 as far as FPS games go. Plus you say you like Medal of Honour, the guys who make COD started off by working on the MoH games then set out to make their own better version and they succeeded.
MGS4 is very short and more of a sneaky hidey game than an all out adrenaline pumping shooter.

Had my first foray into COD4 last night and was very impressed with the intensity from the get go. I played a few missions on easy and its quite good fun. Not sure if its everything I want in a game, but will be enjoyable none-the-less.
Havent had a chance to play The Club yet, but will report back.
After last nights COD4 session I realised that what I prefer in a FPS is the lone action, the simplicity and the sneaky sneaky. I suppose it harks back to those student days spent with the sniper rifle and silenced PPK on Goldeneye. Any suggestions on games of this ilk? Also, Timesplitters tended to be more solo play rather than a group of soldiers chasing a common enemy.
perhaps I'm disappointed when they get to kill some of the enemies!

Stick with COD4, plenty of lone action to come, one flashback sequence being a great experience and providing plenty of opportunity for sneakery and sniping.Havent had a chance to play The Club yet, but will report back.
