Hi all, I'm the OP of that thread - I wasn't going to post it up as I had a feeling I would be getting opinions from people who have no idea of Nobles!

So here I am (thanks for the link Daddysumo) trying to find out a little bit about my possible next car :-)

Hi, Nobles arnt the easiest cars to live with but they are worth it, but they are nowhere near as bad as suggested on that thread.

What a fun read that was. I suppose if the chaps who really slated the cars were friends of that ViperBL chap who had the total lemon, then yopu could understand their distaste.

Its a hand built car so will have a few niggles and you need to be prapared to live with them between services if you're not a handy mechanic.

I had one for the last 4 years, sold it 2 months ago and am thinking about how amazing it was all the time!

Go drive one, then come back here to continue your chat.

Can highly recommend Kerridges in Needham Market near Ipswich if you live in East Anglia region.

your always going to get horror stories with any car... I remember the same with my M3 (vanos horror stories) and there are many thousands of those produced compared to the few hundred Nobles.

Now people are claiming we have sexual relations with our cars.... :-)
Not a mod I'd considered.

So a mildly tuned cossie can keep with a Noble, hope he didnt wake up with too much of a start.

And a remapped porsche 996TT will beat anything, hmmm tempting

Well having had a well modded cossie (came 3rd in class at Ultima street machine when I had it) I can tell you it wont keep up with my std noble.... not even in a dream.

It was also not very reliable and even had exactly the same ECU fault my Noble has just had... just I bodged it on the Cossie rather than sort the ecu.

But to be fair, you are on a ford forum and they are goin to defend their marque and flame others if provoked in the same way this forum would defend te Noble.
