heater and window fault

hi everyone. got 2 problems with the car atm! getting down the list, lol.
firstly the heater has started to act up. when the switch is on it works fine through all speeds, but when i swtich it off then the motor switchs on at full chat! is this the heater ecu? anything easy to check?

also the little led light next to the passenger window switch always flashes, where as the drivers is always solid? whats going on here?? lol
