I go on van days normally and car days occasionally for Mercedes only.Been up there weekly for a month or so now and brought a few.
You know I used to work for BCA when they were at Hawley, driving.Low money but at 18 I got to drive Ferraris and allsorts along the back straight.

It's over 20 years since BCA moved from Frimley to Blackbushe though some of the traders have been doing business here longer than that. I imagine it was a lot smaller there and would never have reacher the throughput of about 1,000 cars in a day we sometimes reach now.
In my (semi) retirement, I normally work just Mon, Wed & Fri. I only do Thursdays if they're desperate. I also do the classic sales.
You're right. Being able to drive (if only briefly) other people's Rollers, Ferraris, assorted Porsches etc somehow makes up for all the other mundane cars and the crap pay - though that's easier for me to say as I'm only topping up my teachers' pension.

I would say BCA did a tiny amount of what they do now.
I think that their presale storage was the size of 1 halls storage is now if that.
There was a 100m straight behind the Shed where you couldnt be seen and I used to give the decent cars a little test down there as sson as I was out of sight.I can remember lots of cavaliers and mk4 cortinas were the rep mobiles those days and top car day was great for me. My favourite was the Rover SD1 .A bit tame now but 3.5litres and 8 second 0-60 was good in those days, especially when we were all running asmatic 1.1 mk 1 escorts and 1.6 capris with woopee fandango wheels and twin carbs that made them faster , or so we convinced ourselves.
