Yeah Yeah, Ok. So this is my second article quoting 'The Scum' in as many days. But this time they atleast got the model correct.

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article1...

He flew his LP640 to London for a service! yikes

ETA: After reading it all the way through, even our very own 'XXVIII' gets a word in! hehe

And doesn't that colour scheme look a bit... well... vomit

There are some vids of it being thrawpped around London on youtube so I highly doubt it was here for an oil change alone.

I see that car together with another Qatari yellow with yellow wheels one parked outside the Park Plaza everyday -- it's here for the summer

guess what...

not exactly!

I think I said, "Thankfully even these days it's possible for a reminder of the age of excess to happen" and then a big rant about enviroterrorists and a chat about the writers F355 that he pranged (a lot) some years ago...

just checked with Lamborghini London that I'm not due any hanging or beatings from them - they said not!

...shidddddddddddddddddd

just had BBC Online on the phone as well...

Google Alerts has flagged a similar article carried in the Telegraph and papers/websites in India, Africa, the You-ess-ey? and..

My mate wants to fly his Alfa 159 to the Seychelles for servicing... he wants to use my 'age of excess' quote to persuade his wife that they could 'wrap a holiday' around the vital servicing trip and that media-muppet me would support his idea in the world's press...

What is this bit in the Mail about?
A spokeswoman for Lamborghini said that although the Italian brand has a network of authorised dealers around the globe, there was 'kudos' in having a car serviced in London.

Do they know the service place is in Acton?

... and what's so wrong with Acton then?

I lived in 'East Ealing' for a few years - it was erm... horrible actually... myself and Mrs XXVIII used to take a short walk along the Uxbridge Road from our flat and bask in the glory that is/was Ealing Common and wander into Ealing itself for a few moments of not being in Acton...

That darned LP640 in faffed about with style-ee makes some bloody good noise at least!

- also, that would be Juliet Jarvis being quoted a little out of context as well, I think.

The interesting thing about this article is that the car was brought over to drive in the UK just like all the other cars with Middle Eastern plates that you see in London.

It hasnt been in for a service at Lamborghini London or anyone else for that matter.

But why let the truth get in the way of a good story......

PAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHA

This whole thing shows just how *unbelievably stupid* the tree hugging hippies are!

"It would have been better to fly the mechanics to the car"

WHY?

Either way - ONE plane flight is involved in each direction and it was going whether the car (or mechanics) were on it, or not!

What a load of unmittigated Envirotwaddle!

...and why I never read newspapers - I buy one sh|trag per day and without reading it, immediately turn to the back page and do the crossword!

Newspapers print no truth whatsoever - yu have all read this story and can see from your own knowledge and experience that there is *massive* misrepresentation and, frequently, just plain untruth. Now, apply that same concluion to EVERY other news story you see as they are no more truth-laden!

Don't get me starting on lying, journalist scum!

Seems like you already started there! hehe

I'm starting to see a correlation between my threads that use 'the scum' as a source and how much the general tone of the thread turns to violence... rofl
