Hardwiring a TomTOm

Considering a Tom Tom ,but wondered if anyone had ever made it more of a permanent feature? i.e. Instead of going in a cradle on the dash or windscreen, has anyone intergrated it into the centre column or something, like a 2nd stereo?

Considering something for my 996, which has the rubbish PCM1, but because it has the Bose system, I apparently can't just put in a new sat nav style stereo as all the wiring is different and will end up costing a shed load.

What I would like to do therefore is get the TomTom integrated somehow

Buy a Becker....it will work well with the Porsche hardware and looks beatifully simple but does everything. Way better than a Tom Tom etc.
