She now drives lovely - but overheated

I took her in to the usual garage (first time they've had the TVR in) to get the manifold welded and suspension tweaked up. 
It now drives beautiful, I really like it now. Even my old man thinks it drives allot better and enjoys driving it - (he wants to buy a Chimaera now but we won't go into that).
So, took her out and dropped a friend off. I left her ticking over while talking and then he goes - hey you got a leak!
- lo and behold water's coming out the overflow and I'm overheating! Switch engine off, open bonnet. Bit embarissing as I always like saying how reliable the car is. Didn't loose much water, let her cool down a bit then drove home (as it's only 1/2 mile away).
Never had this problem before. I personally think the car's fine, the fan is just override I think, so if left it will not kick in by itself, thus overheat. Cor that isn't exactly ideal, least I now know not to leave the car on idle for long.
I also have found some rust which has gone through some metal on the drivers side of the chassis, near the back. The mechanic reckons he could fix it, do you want some pics? To be honest this is much worse than overheating...ooooh hell, but I wouldn't mind getting the body off this winter to have a good look anyway. Well...if our garage is built by then anyway. Damn!!!

Ooooh heck I'll check that tomorrow. Damn chassis. Must say, I really do like the new suspension set up, feels less like a gokart and more like a smooth ride. Not too much though, and you wouldn't even notice it's any higher and I can get it up my drive! Love it because it's that more practical.
Exhaust manifold isn't leaking anymore, but it's slightly quieter (but sounds nicer) so a sports exhaust isn't out the question. It also runs smoother. Love the car to bits now. I doubt I'll ever sell her. Not even for a another TVR.
