Small patch of peeling lacquer, suggestions?
Discussion
On my Chimaera I have a very small patch of peeling lacquer on the ridge/corner edge where the boot lid sits. It's only a couple of cms long and maybe a couple of mm wide. It doesn't really notice but I'd like to get it sorted before it spreads. The paint underneath it is fine. Any ideas on what I can do?

Suspect, but hard to say for definite without seeing pics or in the flesh, that the area could be treated with a liberal application of fresh clearcoat, then levelled, and polished back up to full lustre.
It'd be a quickish and cheap way to see if it works, knowing as it stands, a full respray of the area is the surest method, which will still be an option if the above doesn't last.

It sounds like the basecoat was left to long before
the clear coat was applied so the two coats will not
have adhered to each other, Unfortunately there is no
fix for this as it will spread to the rest of the panel
The only way to put this right is to remove the clear
coat and paint again
