W123 280CE brake upgrade
Discussion
Hi
does anyone have any recommended disc and pad brake upgrades for a 1981 280CE. The only ones I can find are Tarox G88 discs (grooved) or Black Diamond (http://www.venommotorsport.com/manufacturer_category.php?manufacturer=Black%20Diamond&category=Brake) for about £90 for fronts, Tarox are about £130
Black Diamond pads are also available (£40), and so are some Ferodo DS for this car which i'd guess are better?
I'd prefer grooved discs to drilled I think so no risk of them cracking later.
Any advice please?
Thanks

You can retro fit the callipers, discs (and even the servo) from the 500/560 W126/C126 to the W123 CE - which may give you the better braking you require.
Indeed some brave soul even dropped in the V8 from the W126 as well. It was all covered in the Merc Enthusiast mag ( Nov 2007, Issue 73).
