Anyone work for a decent Volvo dealer in here?

I'm opting out of my company car scheme (well, almost certainly will, decision needs to be in within the next couple of weeks) if I can find a decent alternative.

Because of this, I have a shortlist of cars to test, to see if I prefer them to the cars on my company list.

However, I'm struggling to get tests in the S60 and S80 D5s (2.4Ds would be an acceptable compromise, though) - my local dealer let me down badly this morning.

Anyway, my question is - does anyone work for a Volvo dealer who would like to offer me drives? - I'll be honest and say I'm not likely to spend any money until towards the end of September, when the lease car is due back, but I really need to test the alternatives before I sign my company car away....

If anyone can sort a couple of decent tests for me, then they'll almost certainly get my custom if I decide to go with a Volvo when the time comes.

I would strongly recommend contacting MRG Volvo in Chippenham. From wherever you are, I can assure you it will be worth the trip; they supplied my Volvo from new and have been looking after it and their service has been faultless. They're just off junction 17 on the M4.

Give Daniel Phillips, their sales manager, a call on 01249 443300 and I'm sure he'll do what he can to help. It may also be worth your while having a look at www.t5d5.org as many have posted about their experiences with MRG on there. Best of luck with it and please let us know how you get on.

I was just about to post a thread to see if anyone works for a volvo dealer in sales.

Interestingly MRG are my local dealer and I have been over to see them this afternoon to look at the C30.

In my case, Volvo have lost a possible sale, as both their dealers and their head office can't or won't find me an S80 to test drive.

My money is going to Saab instead.
