My local paint supplier had it listed as Iced Titanium under TVR Blackpool. Mixed it no problems.

titanium b62 is a different colour, iced titanium tvr 104 and grigio titanio tvr 100 are the same colour and its a ferrari colour, the ferrari code is either 3238 or 3028. PPG paint code PPG 011, ICI paint code
p422-LRF1B, RM paint codes tvr 100 or tvr 104.

Hmmm... very confusing.
Mine is listed in my handbook as Iced Titanium reference P965-MLL9B (rather than the P422 number potato muncher quoted). This number is on the cars identification panel also.
A little while ago I called ICI Auto paint on +44(0)1449 778585. They have this number listed as a Lotus colour 'Titanium B62' available from 1997 onwards.
I bought a touchup from Lotus and it seems like a match, but to be honest I have used it only sparingly.
Cheers. BB

When I needed some touch up for it I just went to my local dealer and they gave me some. It's a very common TVR colour.

The Ferrari colour, Grigio Titanio is identical to my eyes. I have parked my old Tuscan next to one in GT and I could not tell the difference. Well there was one difference - the GT cost £400 more which being a tight git is why I went for IT. biggrin

i think someone at the factory made some mistakes here, as i already posted iced tit and grigio are a ferrari colour. titanium in the records i have the codes are tvr 105 = lotus b62, ppg029, and ici p422-mll9b. iced tit is a definate silver grey whereas if thats a word, titanium has a bit of a brownish or goldish tint. hope this helps

Hi, sorry to resurrect this old thread but I need the wing spraying on my 2004 TVR Cerbera & I'm trying to identify the colour.
It's listed on the data badge & in the handbook as P965/MLL9B ( same as OP ) & listed as Titanium Metallic but when my body shop puts these codes in all together it comes up with nothing but P965 comes up as Crystal Topaz & MLL9B as Titanium with a cross ref to TVR 212 ( but no further details )
I've searched TVR 212 & also come up with nothing.
I was told the car was a Lotus colour B62 ( Titanium ) but this cross references as P422-MLL9B & the colour chip the body shop has for this colour is slightly darker than my car.
Can any one help ?
Regards, Phil.

Hi, thanks for the photo's they do look similar although always hard to be 100% from a photo. I am suspecting the colour code for my car is wrong although it looks like it's not the only one, it may explain why the OP got a different coloured bonnet as his colour code is the same as mine yet this doesn't seem to exist.
I have a touch up in Lotus Iced Titanium B62 & this is a good match although again it is hard to tell when touching up scratches compared to a panel re-spray.
I'm sure my body shop can sort it, they said they would do some swatches first to make sure i's a match, I was just trying to help it along a little.

Your code means your car was painted in Nexa formerly ICI solvent based paint and is indeed Lotus B62 Titanium. If your garage is using waterbase paint or any other paint manufactures product then there will always be a difference in colour. The way to go might be blending the colour over other panels as it is not easy to get panel to panel matches and it is not easy to tint paint.
Even if your garage could source the nexa paint the chances of a match are slim due to the age of the paintwork and the 5% tolerance either way with the tinters that make up the colour.

Hope this helps.
