Mini digger hire

Long shot but......does anyone on here have something like this....



Only had a very brief look and the hire places I've seen only do then for a week at a time....too long for me.....and too much money!!!

I'm after one for about 3 days use (in a coupole of weeks time), just thought I'd try on here and see if anyone could sort me out. I'm in Leeds and will obviously pay a reasonable day rate if anyones got one begging.

ps. I assume they are transported on a trailer of some kind....my car has a towbar so I can drag it wherever.

I used this guy a few months back, similar digger, much fun to drive. Also available with driver if needed.
You need to weigh up how much longer it's going to take YOU to do it as opposed to a trained operator who is familiar with the machine. Sometimes the extra cost can be saved as well as time.

If you go for a driver you will probably need a couple of mates to push barrows around, they can only go as quick as you can shift it...

cheers mate, will check when get home - no hotmail at work.

Basically job is removing 11 smallish conifer stumps and levelling area. Plus taking a few inches off one half of garden - area about 2m x 3m - so a deck can be laid. Gonna hire a skip and have that put within easy reach of work area so should be able to tip straight into that.

Would advise hiring one with an operator. If you are not familiar with driving one it will take ages to do a quality job, plus you can easily hurt yourself and others in the process!

Make sure the firm has insurance and the operator is trained to a proper standard (preferably holding a CPCS card). Plus check if there are any services (gas, water, etc) present in the area you are going to be excavating in before starting work.

You could always get yourself down to Diggerland (not far from XScape) purely as a training exercise you understand, its not at all fun!

Yeah I've seen that, looks well cool.

I've driven a full size 20million ton thing before, albeit not very well, at all!

Got a few mates who are pretty good on em though so I think we'll manage.
