Red Bull Air Race - London
Discussion
Took a few photos yesterday. It was a really dull day and I got rained on, and the photos aren't great:

It's not sensor dust. It's rain. And I haven't had time to erase it.
I didn't (and wouldn't) pay to go (especially in the rain) - it's monumentally dull. The TV coverage uses amazing editing to make it look vaguely interesting. My work is on the river right by the race so I just popped along for an hour to take these pics.

I went (and paid). It is worth going to watch, but a bit too expensive imo. Didn't have enough catering facilities too (some people in front of me queued for longer then the break and missed out on the 2nd half of the entire show and a few others missed the semi's). Definately won't be going again anytime soon, but I would reccomend it still for a one off something to do day.

I'd disagree with that, i've watched it on the TV before and found it incredibly dull. I got invited along on Sunday by a friend last minute and thought it was brilliant. Shame about the weather though. I was in the standing section next to the dome which meant I was right next to the slalom and the point at which they were coming back down from the half cuban. Watching aerobatics at eye level is something you can't see anywhere else, airshows included. I didn't (and wouldn't) pay to go (especially in the rain) - it's monumentally dull. Oh and front flips in a helicopter! madness!
Nice pics btw!
We needed more sun and some colour other than grey or brown to get any really good pictures.
