Saw a very original and tidy one last week.

Email me through my profile for details (Domster has made a note of them too for reference).

(Had to be edited Melv as blatant ad format contravenes PH classifieds rules - sorry... )

LOL, there are some hidden away somewhere about what you can and can't post. Classifieds must go in classifieds section to stop forums being cluttered up. I'll let you off this time

Phew, I thought he was asking to give you the slapping

Question Mel - How on earth do you run in a track car?
Is it a 1000 miles of very slow and varied speed trackdays? Would drive me nuts

What is the running in procedure after a full engine rebuild. I'm hoping to get my 993rs back soon after a big rebuild but not sure about the running in.

Glad to hear progress has finally been made on the RS. I hope it works out ok, and you get it on track soon - you must be missing it after the R300...

I've got my RS out next at Bedford on Sat 20th, and am planning a trip to the ring and Spa in mid-Oct.

Is it a 964 RS that's for sale at the oldtimers garage in Penn nr Wycombe? (used to be called Slades, but changed hands recently - think it's Runneymede Motor Co. or something now). I'm no expert of the more mature Pork, but this particular model is yellow, stripped, caged, buckets and looks very tasty indeed.

Zubin,

Expecting the car back in the next couple of weeks, here's hoping. Did miss the car on the BaT euro trip last month, especially seeing some lovely RS's and GT3 on the tracks.

Jim

I've been advised drive it 'normally' (road style) for 1000miles on semi-synthetic, with 4-5000rpm limit. Do not hold at same revs/speed for ages as this can lead to hotspots. Change oil to usual Mobil 1 Motorsport and then work the revs up.

Will have a look if I get the chance.

Has the Red Baron returned to terrorising the streets of the Domster massif yet?

Nah, I will let you all know when that happens. My tech was helping me get the ultima chassis and bits recently, and is doing some contract work so has less time on his hands. Next deadline is October 11th trackday

Well, the Red Baron might not be back, but the Cup Car is......even with a 4000rpm limit, it is still a BALL to drive!! (100mph in 5th......)-only another 1450km to go. I'll be at Capel show nr Dorking tomorrow, if only as an excuse to put the miles on!
