"... throttle body ECU [bug ...] could cause a decrease in engine power reducing vehicle speed to about 35mph and reducing comfort".

I think this did actually happen to me once, shortly after I got the car, when I was taking off from some traffic lights. And I was definitely greatly discomforted when it happened.

I got this letter as well. I think it refers to the coupe I sold a year ago and not the spyder I sold last month. If it is the coupe then my ECU did fail after only around 400 miles resulting in the reported loss of power and the car going into limp home mode. The ECU was eventually found to be the culprit and changed but evidently the factory's record keeping is not up to scratch.
