My cerb is needing a 6000 mile service soon (very soon in fact!) and I want to take her to one of the good ones that people talk about - Andy @ APM, Austec and TrackCar etc.... I live in Scotland but have family in England (Peterborough or Tring) so I can get her serviced and see the parents at the same time, which of the "good" TVR specialists is closest?

Was just a thought but maybe we could have a sticky link to all the best and reputable garages that people know and trust? with maybe a map of the UK and locations marked?

Your 2 locations don't really help you with the 3 garages you've mentioned.....

TrackCar is in Chesterfield
APM is 15 miles south West of Guildford
And Austec is very clsoe to Gatwick

I don't know if anyone can recomend anyone else closer thumbup

Dom @ TVR Power may be nearer to P'Boro - does he offer courtesy car?
Alternatively, have a mini break in Devon and go to Dulfords (Cullompton, J28 M5) - Richard offers courtesy car and is one of the best.

Can highly recommend Dulford if you fancy the mini break alternative.

Is there any reason your wanting to travel so far for a service? Cant be for the great drive because its motorways all the way down lol
I hear Dreadnought are very good if not a little expensive, iam in Fife and use a guy just south of Edinburgh for all my servicing needs

I hear that Dreadnought are good but they charge twice what everyone else does down south so its cheaper to drive down and see my parents at the same time......

Ballsy What garage south of Edinburgh do you use? are they TVR specialists?

I use a company called Pit Stop Northern in a wee place called Polton (or close by to there). Guy seems to know his stuff, fixed a few problems of mine. Think he does alot of work for Alan Macdonald sports cars and he sells alot of TVR's(where i bought mine)
