I'm sure this has been asked a million times - sorry!

what does the road tax cost per year for a 2001 tuscan? is it £400? Currently got a 95 4ltre chim and its only £185 or something like that. Went onto various 'tax calculator' web sites and none have TVR listed as a manufacturer!

Gov site suggests cars made after 2001 but before 2006 fall into a different category

before i go chopping in my Chim for a tuscan whats the road tax gonna be? (or will the cost difference in servicing a tuscan compared to a chim pale the road tax into the back ground!) - got quoted £400 a year to insure a tuscan which I thought was good so perhaps I may do this after all! (seen a nice 2001 blue tuscan red rose in Leeds from a tvr dealer (driven image) for £12995 )

Is it worth getting a well sorted 2000 tuscan instead of a 2001 just to save some cash (I magine probably not!)

thanks all

All Tuscans are or should be £185 providing when the dealer registered them they were as PLG and given no emissions rating, some owners of 2006 models did have issues with this, but I believe this was resolved by DVLA.

Renewed mine recently, and it was £185 thumbup

Not sure why I bothered though, seeing as it's been off the road more often than not this year frown
