One of the main reasons i'm looking at buying a TVR is that my Fiancé adores them and desperately wants one before we start a family, Oh, I guess i quite like them too! ;-)

Of the reviews that i've read one of the main comments seems to be that they can be a handfull in the wet. I'm quite used to this as my current car (300zx) can get somewhat tail-happy in similar conditions trying to put it's 300plus bhp onto the road. One of the first mods i carried out was to fit Race Logic's excellent Switchable Traction Control.

Has anyone on here fitted it? If so any comments? I love it on the Zed as i know i can plant the throttle out of a round about and know that I'm unlikely to rearrange the scenery. I can't think of any negatives but someone might tell me otherwise.

Cheers

Apparently it can't be done............No ABS on a TIV may have something to do with it.

Just how stupid do I feel? You're right, quite obvious when you think about it

im sure Joolz fitted it to a cerby ( works on the injection rather than the brakes)

It can be done.

RaceLogic just need to fit wheel speed sensors. It bumps the cost up a little. I wouldn't mind fitting it when i get round to getting my tvr. I bet it's a great gizmo to have.

And spec the launch control, full throttle gear shift and shift change lights too

Take a look at www.racelogic.co.uk for more info.

One last thing, i've seen quite a few TVR's with TC fitted on AutoTrader and even a few with ABS fitted.

Personally I get a lot of satisfaction from knowing that it's me controlling the car. And even with TC I would like to bet that such behaviour wouldn't leave you in the scenery.

I think Steve Heath has it on his Wedge racer.

Yeah, but they are mistakes by non-petrolhead data input people and unknowledgeable dealers.

Hehe, This has been thrashed out 100s of times on the Zed forum. Archie, I agree with you to a degree. But I have been very nearly caught out several times as the turbos spooled up and the back let go. Anyway, the RC TC is switchable, so you can turn it off as and when you want to.

take one for test drive, slam brakes, write car off and go 'but you said it had abs'. that'll teach moronic dealer.
