LP560 Test Drive
Discussion
Just had the pleasure of driving London's LP560 demonstrator.
I currently own a recent 56 plate Gallardo so I was not really expecting to feel a vast improvement.
To honest I thought that to be convinced to replace my current Gallardo the LP560 would have to feel something very special.
It did not disappoint!!
My god this thing is so much quicker. Drives better, feels better, slightly quieter when cruising, but louder than ever under full throttle.
Is it worth the extra £££??
Well I've ordered one just on the basis that it feels so much more powerful. Can't believe its only 552bhp though, feels closer to 600.

When I tried it the main difference I felt was with the steering which is much lighter than in the old car
I agree that around the London streets the car was definitely faster "away from the lights" than the old one
The only minor thing I would say against the car was the exhaust
It sounded great when stationary or runing at 7,000 revs but it felt a little tame compared to the old one when driving along slowly in second

What about the reported increase in understeer? And isn't there an option to be ticked regarding chassis settings (like a sport pack) that journalists etc. haven't tried yet?
Difficult to tell. It was raining.Understeer could be the result of poor driving technique.

The car was really getting pushed on this drive, and I certainly didn't notice "an increased understeer"http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=oh9lcFUimT0
