copyright issue/question
Discussion
A few years ago I purchased a couple of 35mm slides which were taken on a film set. The slides were later used to create some film merchandise (back in the late '70s/early 80s).
I'd like to get the slides scanned in high res onto disk and printed out. Probably just a copy of each for me.
Will a photo place be able to do this for me, or will they refuse to as I don't own the copyright to the images/characters?

Nothing implied. I bought them from someone who worked at the company who used them in the 70s so it was very informal.
I'll just try and see what they say - I just wanted some comeback if the place refused to do anything with them quoting copyright.
ETA: if you mean the end merchandise, then it would have been sold all over the world and the rights aggressively protected. The slides are one-offs though.
