OK - replaced the light clusters - put back and the offside didnt work (other than brake light).

Removed the 6 pin connector and gave the contacts a clean - still no joy

Bulbs all look ok - so dont know where else to check.

any ideas anyone?

Probabaly worth replacing the conectors and bulb holders, around £7 per side, they were always going on the Escorts.

My offside light only works correctly if I apply some upwards pressure to the connector - this function is now taken care of by a piece of insulating tape.

Replacing the connectors would obviously resolve this. The part that you'll find at the Ford dealer with be the bulb holder.

The main problem with the rear cluster is that the 'wiring' on the bulb-holders is just strips of pressed steel and the 'connections' rely on a bit of clamping. Soldered mine, end of story.
