One of these:

Try going from the limiter on a motorway with cross-winds to an enthusiastic pace on a twisty badly-cambered B-road trying to keep up with something that has 5.4 more litres and you will learn the meaning off terror. eek

The bizare thing is, a masochistic streak hidden deep within actually rather liked it.

I thought I was about to gain some. Could swear it ended up on three wheels at one point!

Actually quite fun at low speeds, but going quicker it becomes truly terrifying.

I'll second that, I nearly come off the first roundabout I came to in the loan Micra, truly horrendus.

I am now on my second Smart and I think there brilliant, cheap as chips to run and fun too.
I had to use the Smart once on a run to Oulton Park over the Buxton to Conglton road, we was on a TVR outting, just ask anyone on that run how well the Smart did, there was even a point where I was been held up, I could chuck the Smart around but the TVR's were bottoming out and couldn't go any faster, don't get me wrong though, I would have preferred to be in the TVR, I now have an 08 plate Smart and that is 10 steps beyond the 53 plate I had.

A mate's daughter put hers on its roof - not to be recommended (a family trait as said mate rolled a bubble car donkeys years ago and his Navy pilot training son rolled his Fiesta).

Seeing the state of it as she miraculously got out of it she vowed never to go near another one.
Even the Fiat Punto she bought seemed safer.

As you might gather, I prefer to drive when we go out.

It wasn't out of choice! I was in convoy with a C63 AMG and a Conti Flying Spur at the time too, so even on their most genteel waft I was discovering a new meaning of fear.

Been out in it again today. This time on a track. paperbag

Me too - driving a Fortwo in convoy with the Boss in the Diablo 6.0 VT, a gaggle of Cerbies, an M3 and a bunch of other stuff from Spa to Restaurant Pistenklause in Nürburg - when we arrived there there was some surprised uttere that I was keeping up quite well (although not on the Autobahn - I was flat out for at least 20 minutes before I caught up again because they were stuck behind a semitrailer on the single carriageway that followed hehe). Visibility, baby, that's the key...winkbiggrinit really can't have been my driving

A very different little 2-seater:

(Many years ago) a friend of mine had a hard-top version. He took me for a drive. Then he moved the lever to reverse. Then he set off backwards around his estate, changing up and accelerating until I screamed.

I love my Smart, with the limiter removed it does 113mph and I must admit
it's a lot scarier than my Tuscan ever was !!!

I can imagine that... the 84 PS one I drove would happily sit at the 90 mph limiter all day, but if you had to brake for say, a semitrailer pulling into your lane it would see quite a lot of ESP action in order to keep it in one lane... eek
