who is the secret millionaire?? FOA BoLOCs
Discussion
We`ve just watched "The secret Millionaire" from last night on BBC2. The guy ran his own finance company, but took 10 days out to visit various charities and organisations and work with them for free, ending in him handing out £136000 to worthy causes. Fair play to the guy!
Then at the end he says he is from Bournemouth and drives a Lotus Elise, is he known? If so shake
his hand and say well done from me. ( for the charity not the owning of an Elise!!)

Just watched this and a huge well done to the chap for his charitable donations!
however does anyone else find it a bit strange that being worth £77 million. when asked what "car" he drove he answered "a lotus elise"?
Dont get me wrong i love my exige but if i had that sort of money whilst i would defo still own a lotus as a 2nd/3rd/4th car.
it certainly would'nt be my "car"!

watched it last night - top guy....I guess its unusual, but he must love the Elise
I guess being "worth" 77million doesnt mean he takes out a few hundred grand a month to blow on toys...for all we know his company is valued at 77 million, hes the CEO and just pays himself a nice salary - say £200K a year and the rest is invested for his kids and retirement etc ...some people are just like that.
I know quite a few businessmen, some here, some in the UK, that could technically retire now quite easily as they are worth quite some millions in stock, property etc...but no...they choose to work their socks off still and just save up for retirement (maybe) or their family
its only us (relative) paupers that think "if only I had xxxx I would retire" ...when in reality not many people do...

Spotted the car in the train station a couple of weeks ago. Its looks a bit tatty to be honest and some little scrote has nicked the Lotus badge off the front!
Does it matter what car he drives? Most doctors are very well paid but drive about in Vectras etc. Not a shot at the guys money, his choice in car or any such judgement!!!! Just a passing comment that it looked like it could use a damn good clean and I was sorry to see that some one had nicked his badge!!
Jeeeez!!
