Any PH'ers planning on making the trip to the 13th and 14th meeting at Reims? They've had a fairly low key event the last 2 years, but given the popularity of Goodwood and now the CLM, they're making a big effort to turn this into something a bit special. After the CLM trip last month, just can't wait to get to another similar gig, and would like to do it with a few other bods.

My friend lives in Laon, just North of Reims. He went last year and said is was great. I did plan to go but have a family wedding to attend in Devon. Arse. We always do a high speed run through the pits when we visit. Fantastic place. I was there 3 weeks ago and they have really restored a lot of the buildings. But I am glad i saw it 7 odd years ago before it was touched, it is losing a bit of the aura with each bit they repaint for this event. My friend who lives there used to sneak in with his brother as children in its heyday. I can listen for hours to his first-hand stories of seeing Fangio, Moss, Salvadori and co. Have fun!

Excuse my niavety, but what exactly is it? I'm in Empernay that weekend helping friends with their 'picking' (and no doubt sampling a little too!) so if I could couple that with something at Reims it one might give me an Excuse to give the Healey a run down there, and two that would be fab!

Mmmmm, tempting....

If I had the time, could do this, meander SW for a week to the Circuit des Rempartes following weekend, then loop back via South of France all the way to Spa for the 6 hours. smile

Damn my restricted mileage policy! (and my small pay packet!)
