Results from Honington Fun Day
Discussion
I received a letter from the Officer Commanding Personnel Management Squadron today thanking every one for their support. It read:-
"I write on behalf of the Station Commander and all personnel at Royal Air Force Honington to thank you for your support to the Station Fun Day which took place on the 30 July 2008. The event was a huge success, assisted by some fanastic weather, and was very much enjoyed by all the Station personnel and their families who attended, especially those dependants of personnel currenty deployed on operations.
The total of funds raised during the day was over £2500, and some monies are still being collected. This outstanding total will all be donated to the very worthy Help for Heroes charity, in support of the rehabilitation of those Servicemen and women injured in the line of duty.
The event would not have been possible without the generosity of those willing to give up their time to provide the variety of stalls and displays and those who provided charitable donations for our extensive raffle.
I would like to add my personal thanks for your contribution to the day. On behalf of all at RAF Honington, a very grateful thank you for helping to provide such a fantastic event and for your ongoing support"
That is a great amount of cash and thanks again guys and girls for making it a day to remember and the success it was. See you all soon at shows and events.

I won a prize in the raffle!! But I don't know what it was, must ring up & see what the prize was before I make the journey over there.
I could always pick it up for you? I am down there sorting out my last bits and pieces and could collect it. Then bring it to a meet?If you call to see what you have one and let them know I will get it, then let me know who, where what etc
