Actually for my hillclimb race car, I want to get the rear uprights or the materials shown in the manual .
They are based around Sierra hubs (disc brakes) and flate sheet steel and a large diameter tube.
Does anyone sell the parts, or the complete assembly?
I've searched to death google etc and I'm getting nowhere.

Hope you can help me.
Graham.

I thought the Haynes "How to Build a Sportscar" specified an Escort live axle?

If you want some uprights suitable for Sierra driveshafts, try http://www.ariesmotorsport.co.uk/

Nothing on that site Alex that I can find. I refer to the Haynes book page 69 to 74 inc.
Thanks for the reply!
Any other ideas??

These are the rear uprights from my Stuart Taylor Locoblade:

If they look suitable, Aries Motorsport will be able to supply them, as they have taken over the Locoblade from Stuart Taylor.

No, those are not the ones. The Haynes book shows a far more substantial design.
The car they are desined for has 260 bhp and weighs 500Kg, but also has 12'' wide rims and racing slicks!
there will be a fair bit of leverage going on in a corner.
