In reality? In todays market? Like most kits, its worth what someone at the time is willing to pay for it. With early Caterhams and Elises going for £7k it pretty much screws all of us. Nice car though, I would try £8K?

Reality check time I would say.

I reckon thats a realistic £6k and bit, maybe less in the current climate.

My old Fury is up back up for sale at £6k and I reckon thats a tad high.

F27's dont have the cache of a well known brand name to most.

Comes down to what you are happy to except really.

It depends on how long you've got in which to sell it, whether or not you are going to try a higher price first. By higher I'm thinking £6000, but if you really want to shift it quickly then I would guess (and it's only a guess) that you would need to be a fair bit below that. Bear in mind that the summer, such as it is, will be over soon.

but thats the "only" advantage.

as q-plates do always have a relatively new date of 1st reg it makes it uninteresing for foreigners to buy the car.( due to the good exchange rate pound to euro, it makes it very interesting at the moment to buy cars in UK)

e.g. this car is registrated 1998: so no way to get it legaly on the road somewhere else in europe (sure, there is always a way..but these ways mean: you need to know "somebody", eventually "manipulate" the documents and pay some backhander).

So the only disadvantage is if you want to sell the car abroad? Doesn't seem like overwhelming issue IMO. Personaly I like my Q plate, I would certainly never pay more for a kit car simply to avoid a Q reg. It's just a number plate, it doesn't make the car faster or better handling or use less fuel.

i mean its a disadvantage for selling abroad, as well as in UK, as q-plated cars are mostly lower valued as the ones with a "proper" registration.
