Technomagnesia Detroits v Kahn RSR wheel upgrade
Discussion
Getting a bit fed up of waiting for the factory spider/brake upgrade availability for my Griff 500.After a fair amount of trawling through old threads I'm going for Plan B.
This calls for 17" 7.5 wheels front and back with AP 4 pot/310 drilled dics on the front and 300 drilled discs on the back.(Can I get 7.5" on the front without spacers? - I've got PAS).
I've seen pics of Gerjo's car with it's 16" Front & 17" rear Technomagnesia Detroits and these look great.Has anybody fitted the Kahn RSRs and if so do you have a pic/comments before I make my final decision.
Peninsular will be doing the work

hi Tiny,
Glad you like the wheels.
Don't know if 7,5J would fit in the front but if possible I would stick to 7J to avoid possible problems with the handling.
I'm sure someone has the Kahn wheels, I saw them on PH when I was chosing mine. Almost went for them myself, but decided in favor of the Techno's in the end.

As far as I can remember the Detroit F1's were only available in 18" and/or didn't have the right offset.
I have:
7 x 16 ET25 front with Toyo Proxes T1-S 225/45/16
7,5 x 17 ET37 rear with 235/45/17
they fit straight on, no spacers needed
the Toyo's are fantastic
The centres I ordered from my dealer. I cut away the edge of the plastic holder (supplied with the Techno's) for the badges with a nife. Takes no more than 5-10 min per holder. This way the TVR badge fits nicely without any edge visible.

Gerjo,
My car is still down at Peninsula having the work done and I hope to get it back in about 10 days.I can't get the Pirelli Rosso's I wanted in the sizes I need and as I don't fancy the Neros,I'm going for the Toyos like you (F 215/40 and R 245/40).
After Peninsula have finished I've got the car booked in to TVRbodyshop for their twin Headlight upgrade.
After that its power time! - I'm thinking of keeping this to a Cam,ACT and Mark Adams chip all of which I think you have already had done.Any input on specs, costs and results would be much apprecciated
