There is a new poster called Teamaker. This idiot has started 4 threads, all of which have been closed quite rightly because they are a pathetic waste of bandwidth. I really think it does PH no good to allow these cretins to continue to have access to this site. In the old days anybody coming here and doing that would have been bounced pretty much straight away. I really believe it lessens the PH experience for a lot of people to allow these morons free reign on the forums.
Have the powers that be considered having a posting holiday for new members so that you have to be here for a month before you can post or 3 months before you can start a thread, for instance? It would hopefully deal with this sort of chaff.

Kinky and Al. I know you guys snuff this sort of thing out very efficiently but it seems (to me) that there is far more of it these days.
I guess I'm just an old git. I remember late night banter with CarZee and even when trading insults with Flasher and being slapped down for verbal jousts with CWC it all somehow seemed a bit more adult, you know? Anyway, I only stopped by whilst my cocoa was warming up, I'll mount the stair lift and bid ye goodnight....

An interesting subject that crops up every year ... dare I shout repost
But to be honest though - a quick glance through all the reported threads - it would appear that the majority of drivel seems to be from existing PHers - so I'm not sure that excluding P&P for a few months would help all that much.
Please note that it's an unqualified comment - but just a quick glance through reports.

I think the mods have been doing a great job recently. I bet there is loads of behind the scenes modding and binning going on that we don't see.
The P and P has been hugely improved over the last month or so.
Rainy weather during the school/university holidays must be a really busy time around here.
Well done guys.

Perhaps new posters attempting to start new threads should be positively moderated? I mean so the thread doesn't appear until a moderator has approved it.
Do mods on here get paid for their time? I doubt it so why should they have to spend any more of their free time surfing through some of the drivel that's posted?falcemob said:

We'd need hundreds of mods on all day long just to do that.
I think everything is fine as it is. But please do remember that there's a [report] function on the top right of each post - so if you are not happy about a post - then report it, and we can action as appropriate.
We don't get the opportunity to read every post on every thread - so of course stuff will slip through the net.
