So neighbour side swiped me this morning frown

I sat there in disbelief tooting my horn in vane as she reversed into the static Ult.

Oh well.

Now how's this for lucky. All the damage is to the door, it's obliterated, but took all of the impact.

'Hello, Ted?' phone 'Door please.....'

Always one to look on the bright side, I'll get my mirror repositioned so I can actually see out of it and the window was just starting to delaminate. And I guess I'll get the factory lovely panel fit and edge finish. Lovely.

Images not for the faint hearted!!

A bit worried about the deflection that would have caused this:

And in true Lucksta stylie - here is my wound dressing ready for Fighting Torque 08 battle!!!

Oh man!!!

I bet there were a few choice words spoken. Did she think you were busy playing a merry tune? Was the horn drowned out by the exhaust and she didn't hear it?

It's only plastic. In this game you have to take this things on the chin and move on. At least I wasn't a kid on a skateboard or something.

It's not like it's an engine blowing up or anything!!! laugh

Wow you are lucky. A few inches one way or the other and you're replacing the center pod too which would have erased your FT08 hopes.

Was she on the cell phone too?

Lucky-- you do have some bad luck some times! Hope the colours match as I am sure mine has more brown tinge to the car thane when new. Upside may be having to have the cat sprayed at her expense!

Just been round to get her details.

When I told her I was stationary she said 'why?' So I had to explain that after being the reverse gear there is a moment when the car is stationary whilst a forward gear is selected. Then I explained how the damage to mine can show how her vehicle was moving into mine. After that she said, 'well your car is very low, I didn't see it'

I best take this off-line now for legal reasons. smile

Pete, what a bummer!

I thought you were going to say they were scars infilicted in glorious race track wheel to wheel combat, not buy a miopic lady reversing her car FFS!

Dude

Had she been drinking with the local vicar? (We know where you live!!) Even if she couldn't have seen the car due to her intoxication she should have heard it!!!!

Hard luck p. That must have made quite some noise as the GRP gave way!
Are you going to repair it yourself or get the factory to do it? Is it an insurance job or is she going to cough up out of her own purse?

Pete, so sorry to see that man. Glad it's minor damage. The factory should have you fixed up in no time.

Like you said, it could have been a lot worse! My guess is lack of visibility is the most common cause of Ultima accidents. If that's the only damage you ever get, you are indeed LuckyP.
