Thanks to Graham and Sarah, Paul and Andrea, and Bob and Deb for all their hard work. thumbup
I'm sure there are others behind the scenes as well as the 'traders' who support the event - Well done each and every one of you.
Now that Graham and Sarah have taken their bow I hope the FlipFlops and Bob & Deb will get the support for next year - when we'll get some overdue sunshine. biggrin

ETA - I forgot to thank everyone else who came. What a great bunch of people. Nice to meet those I knew already and the 'new faces' too.

Just like to reiterate the thanks, we had a great weekend despite the weather and as the wife said we can't remember the time there so many friendly, down to earth people in the same place at the same time.

Would like to say a big thanks to the guys at Ride drive, I had two runs and my wife had one, we both thought the whole experience was a great boost to our confidence especially with our lack of experience in a car like ours.

Also to the people at Clever Trevor who we spent some time with at the BBQ and especially Dan who fitted a new air filter Sunday morning thumbup really appreciated that (especially as I gained 6.4 hp on the RR as a result!)

Of course the people at Crazy Horses, had two runs, one on Sat and another on Sunday - very friendly and knowledgeable people, don't know the name of the guy that got the cars on and off but the poor bugger worked like a trojan all weekend!

Also like to say thanks to Simon (Sorry don't know any more than that) who was very quick to impart his knowledge on the subject of pre cat Griffs to this newbie and was very friendly to boot, was great to meet you - hope you get your valve caps!

And of course FFG, MrsFFG and Bob and all the other organisers for being top people and doing a top job, we'll certainly be supporting the growl in future years.

Cheers

Paul

It may actually not look like it, with me having my 2p worth on the Growl Groans thread, but I have nothing but praise for the organisers of the Growl and the work they do. It can't be easy but you do a fine job and justly deserve the credit for a great event.

Can I also say bloody well done the traders who all came too. Who didn't let us down despite the weather forecast being hideous for days in advance. You all deserve a big pat on the back for just turning up for the weekend when I'm sure it was more tempting to pull the covers back over your heads and give it a miss.

Specific thanks from me go to Derek of Absolutely Shocks - I sat in on the suspension technology talk by Derek and found it very enlightening and learned something too. Thank You Derek.

And to the guys from Ride Drive for their taster sessions - of which I partook. Another great idea and I managed to do the session for the camera run with the roof off in between the rain sessions. Thankyou chaps, I'll be booking my next session for September shortly.

Finally, to Guy of Opie, who's services I called on again for my annual replenishment of car oils. Top Man. Thank you for the advice and great service.

Ye gods, its no wonder I felt the one day I had, in the filthiest weather I've been at an event in, went whizzing by.

Quality chaps the lot of you bow
Well done, Thank You and here's to next year beer

Now the dust has settled a little and I can post this without coming across as insincere because of the 'Groan' thread, I thank all those involved too. Despite my groans, which I'd prefer to be seen as ideas, I had a good time and enjoyed myself.

Thank you one and all beer
