Front Fog Lights
Discussion
The Nightmare contuinues, Went down to the local Euro parts depot armed with an aray of part numbers.
None of which they could find on the system
So I thought, stop sodding about contact Hella, Well after speaking to a very nice lady on the phone for the best part of 30mins again even reading off the numbers printed on the lense and trying Dr Bobs part nos and even Mopars numbers we cant find it!

im pretty sure the lights are off a early Polo, i had a cracked lense some time ago and Nadine picked a mint up for me from her local VW breakers £20 each, there's plenty VW breakers online
brand new from Chuck there about $200 each i recall
part number on mine is 871 941 703 127 222-01
it must be pretty tuff finding them now though its not like you see them eveyday on the road, cant either be much need or requirement for old polo's or even golf lights, guessing most have been crushed by now

I'm pretty sure some of these Golfs/Polos had two sets of lights up front and the main beam had a smaller lense inside the two outer ones as shown on the Polo above. I think these inner main beam lenses must be what Mark needs? Thing is I could only find one Polo of this age on Autotrader so hunting down a second hand part may prove to be a challenge?
Not sure what year we're talking about here, but could these be a pair?

I thought, the main lights of the polo are the fog lights of the Viper. Though I'm not sure what year range is okay for use on Viper.
"What the hell is that?"
Okay, yes.. But it's a very reliable car
If there are several people, who need these, I can look for an amount on the junkyard. We have plenty of these old guys here.

Well, couldnt sleep last night so at 3am went down to the garage and re-fitted old cracked fog lamp in original position.(did a bit more buffing as well), Ive written down every possable number I could find and now will do some more research! I will give Hella a ring again on Monday and see if they can reconise any of the part nos.
When I needed one I found one at the local breakers and it came from a 1987 Polo and it was the one with the twin headlamps and it was the smaller inner lamp that you need. Try doing a search with www.firstchoicespares.co.uk on moday and you may get lucky.Regards clive.
